Tindig Pilipinas issued a statement defending the right to free speech and the need for anonimity of Jover Laurio, who presented herself as the blogger behind Pinoy Ako Blog and received criticisms for having aired strong words against President Rodrigo Duterte.
The organization, whose creation was headed by Senators Risa Hontiveros, Antonio Trillanes and Kiko Pangilinan to call against extrajudicial killings in the country, said that the right to free speech and free expression includes the right to anonimity and defended Laurio, but however condemned Mocha Uson and RJ Nieto as they were goverment employees.
It criticized Nieto for allegedly hiding his identity until his candidate, Rodrigo Duterte won.
"Senator Risa Hontiveros (and her entire staff) has already known who I am even before the campaign period. Ininvite pa nga ako sa bloggers meet and greet niyan bago mag eleksyon, at doon ko pa unang nakilala in person si Atty. Trixie Cruz-Angeles," he said.
The blogger added that even Bam Aquino's staff knew who he was, as one of them was his orgmate in UP Debate Society.
"Maang-maangan when convenient, eh? Your selective memory is disgusting. Pati statement niyo, balasubas.
If I were PAB, I will just attend the Senate Hearing and present my case. Puro kayo media blitz, yan lang ang alam ninyo. Grabe, SAAN KAYO KUMUKUHA NG PERA?" he said.
"And by the way, Laurio was a government employee too: she was the Provincial Tourism Officer of Masbate. So please lang, wag araw-arawin ang pagmamaang-maangan.
And you stand squarely behind PAB, the same blogger who libelled over 300 people in less than one year? MESSAGE RECEIVED," he added.
