Ex-Comelec Chairman Brillantes dies due to Covid-19
FORMER Commission on Elections (Comelec) chairman Sixto Brillantes passed away following a battle with coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).
Comelec spokesman James Jimenez said Brillantes died “a little past 11 a.m.”
Brillantes was found positive for the disease after taking a swab test on July 22.
He was intubated three days later because his oxygen level was unstable despite medication.
