P2.5M ‘shabu’ seized in Makati

AN estimated P2.5 million worth of suspected crystal meth or shabu were confiscated in a drug operation in Makati City on Wednesday night, authorities reported Thursday.

Operatives from Makati police arrested John Edward Sayson, 25, who is also listed in the city’s station drug watchlist.

Authorities said that the operation happened in Barangay San Isidro at about 6:40 p.m.

Seized from the suspect was 375.38 grams with an estimated street value of P2.5 million. Confiscated drugs were turned over to the Southern Police District (SPD) for chemical analysis.

The suspect is currently detained at the Makati City police station and is facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.”
