Rep. Olivarez wins Parañaque mayoral race
FORMER Parañaque City Rep. Eric Olivarez won the mayoral race, logging in 174, 397 votes based on partial and unofficial results early Tuesday.
The figures were based on 99.79 percent of Comelec election returns as of
7:12 a.m.
Olivarez beat Barangay Baclaran Chairman Julius Anthony "Jun" Zaide who garnered 64, 143 votes.
Zaide was followed by Drew Uy with 27,018 votes; Rolando Aguilar, 4,447 votes; and Jherie Mores, 1,299.
Joan Villafuerte, who ran for vice mayor, got 102, 560 votes against Coach Binky Favis who garnered 88,977 votes, followed by Tess De Asis with 70,461.
Pablo Olivarez led all councilors in Parañaque's 1st District with 75, 733 votes. He was followed by followed by Allen Nava Tan, Pablo Gabriel Jr., Toki Eric Baes and Marvin Santos.
Rico Golez led all councilors in the 2nd District with 104, 798 votes, followed by Dabarkads Nina Sotto, Juvantin Esplana and Bong Benzon.
Metro Manila Council (MMC) and former Parañaque Mayor Edwin Olivarez, who is the brother of Eric Olivarez, won as congressman with 90,754 votes.
