Briones congratulates Duterte-Carpio

Outgoing Education Chief Leonor Briones congratulated Vice President-elect Sara Duterte-Carpio who will take her oath of office on Sunday, June 19, 2022.

In a letter, Briones said that she will leave the department in able hands.

"I look forward to turning over to you the leadership of DepEd. That the department will be concurrently led by no less than the Vice President speaks to the highest priority that education will be given under the incoming administration" she said.

She added that she has no doubts that with Duterte's leadership, the Philippines will see the fruition of basic education's pivot to quality.
