Kylie Padilla sets her priorities straight
Kylie Padilla, who currently stars as Joni in the GMA TV series "Bolera," was very candid when asked if she's ready to fall in love all over again.
"Papayag ba siya (her would-be boyfriend) na pang-apat o pang-lima lang?" referring to the order of her priorities.
At the media conference of her ongoing TV program, Kylie is not wont to hide the fact that she's dating at the moment but it's her two sons by erstwhile partner Aljur Abrenica who are her top priority.
Next to his little boys is her showbiz career. Kylie shares she has a lot to thank her home studio for, if only for the Bolera series that revived her career on TV.
It will be recalled that Kylie had to cut short her stint in GMA's fantaserye Encantadia as she got pregnant. Kylie realized she had blown her chance to make a bigger name in showbiz.
"Akala ko talaga, wala na akong babalikang career," she admits.
Making up for lost time, Kylie wants the network to know that she's more serious and impassioned now with her work.
"I promise never to fail them this time," she swears.
Back to being single again, the actress isn't about ready to jump into another relationship unless her conditions are met,
"I have drawn up a checklist (of criteria) that whoever is that guy may be has to meet."
Definitely not in the mold of Aljur.
A plea for Kris Aquino
Having taken a break on social media, heartless talks didn't escape Kris Aquino who continues her battle against a rare disease.
It was at the height of malicious talks — that she was confined at the ICU of an undisclosed hospital — when Kris resurfaced on social media and clapped back at those who want her dead.
In a somewhat defiant stance, Kris said she'd remain relentless in her fight to survive. This is also the same message in her handwritten letter to former manager Lolit Solis.
In her words, Kris is praying so hard to stay up and about until Bimby reaches the age when he can take care of his Kuya Joshua. Even more heartbreaking is Kris' having entrusted her children to her elder sisters whatever happens.
Maybe, this is the reason why Kris opted to delay her trip to Texas to get further treatment. Nothing can be more comforting than being surrounded by family members.
I sincerely hope that Kris gets well. With it comes an urgent request that her bashers turn kind to her.
If this may be a comeuppance for Kris and for what she has done in the past, don't we think she has paid a dear price for it?
