PDP-Laban Cusi wing thanks Duterte for leadership, governance

THE Partido Demokratikong Pilipino-Laban (PDP-Laban) party-Cusi wing thanked outgoing President Rodrigo Duterte as he prepares to leave Malacanang to his successor Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.

In a statement, Lawyer Melvin Matibag, PDP Laban secretary-general, said that party members congratulated President Duterte for his successful leadership, and for providing good governance in the country during the crisis due to the pandemic.

Matibag and PDP-Laban members gathered in Makati City on Wednesday night. In the same meeting, officials and members of the party also cited the programs President Duterte will pass on to the next administration such as the fight against corruption, illegal drugs and criminality, Build Build Build, and peace and order in Mindanao.

Duterte is the chairman emeritus of the party.

The PDP Laban also announced its full support and cooperation with the Marcos administration.

"Ang magiging tagumpay ni Pangulong Bongbong Marcos ay tagumpay din ng bawat Pilipino (The success of President Bongbong Marcos is also the success of every Filipino)," the PDP Laban said.
