'Ester' exits PAR
TROPICAL Depression Ester exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) at 5 a.m. on Sunday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
However, the weather bureau said monsoon rains may still be expected especially in the western portion facing the West Philippine Sea because of the prevailing Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).
Areas most likely to be affected by Habagat include Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Metro Manila, Cavite, Batangas, Occidental Mindoro and Palawan.
The public is advised to take necessary precautions against flash floods or landslides.
Pagasa also said that the Visayas, Bicol Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao and the rest of Ilocos Region, Central Luzon, Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna,Batangas,Rizal and Quezon) and Mimaropa may have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms.
The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
