Sean Penn ups fight against Covid-19 with relief expansion
LOS ANGELES: Sean Penn’s organization Community Organized Relief Effort (Core) administered more than 1.3 million Covid-19 tests within five months, and currently operates in 32 locations throughout the U.S.

Core is focused on giving free tests to low-income communities and frontliners. The Oscar winner hopes Core’s initiative can help slow the spread of the virus.

Despite the concerns, Penn said the workers give him hope.

“They’re out on these tarmacs hour after hour, day after day, six days a week,” he said. “It’s growing and they just keep at it. So you can only have some kind of hope.”

Greenberg says he has received conflicting information on the extent of Kelly’s injuries.

“We have not been provided any information from the jail, nor has Mr. Kelly called,” Greenberg wrote. “We are hopeful that he was not seriously injured.”

A Federal Bureau of Prisons spokesman, citing privacy and safety reason, wouldn’t confirm or deny the attack on Kelly.
