Ambassador supports Chinese investors in PH
THE Chinese Embassy in the Philippines expressed its full support for Chinese investors who are doing business in the country and giving job opportunities to Filipinos.
On Friday, Chinese Ambassador Huang Xilian visited the world-class assembly plant of Foton Motor Philippines Inc. (FMPI) in Clark, Pampanga.
He said that the increasing number of Chinese investors in the country brings more jobs for Filipinos, which indicates that the relationship between China and the Philippines is "improving and deepening."
During his visit, he was met by FMPI Vice Chairman Kenneth Sytin and FMPI President Errol Duenas, and given a tour of the facilities.
Ambassador Huang also had the opportunity to hear about the good and productive performance of the company despite the threat of pandemic over the past two years.
The company's commitment to provide excellent service was extended through their "Empowering the Filipinos" business campaign as part of their brand's effort to help fellow citizens step up against the economic recession.
A total of 5,000 Filipinos nationwide have been given jobs by the said company, including 700 Filipinos in the Pampanga plant which has created many opportunities for their staff and their families.
Levy Santos, VP for sales and marketing of Foton Motor Philippines, said the company will also intensify its production as well as have additional dealership presence in the country in the coming years.
Also on Friday, a photo exhibit called "China-Philippines Cooperation Achievements Photo Exhibit" was held at the Angeles University Foundation main campus in Angeles City, Pampanga.
The photo exhibit featured "friendly cooperation" or events of common development and progress between China and the Philippines over the past six years.
